We went there despite the guys of the nearby hotel told us that the site is actually closed. Well, it actually is closed, they are about to develop it into a park with facilities and souvenier shops.…Full review by shogunturi

Do not choose this from Costa Maya as a cruise excursion from NCL for the foreseeable future! There is HEAVY construction as they build a new train line through the area. Our bus ride was 2 hours a…Full review by Hev E
We are looking to book an excursion to Kohunlich with Norwegian Cruise Lines from the port of Costa Maya on Feb 11/25. However, have seen some conflicting information online about whether the site is actually open right now. Have also seen some information about a lot of construction in the area. The tour is only 6.5 hrs & some are saying it takes 2 hrs each way, while others are saying almost 3 hrs each way. While 2 hrs still gives us 2.5 hrs at the ruins, 3 hrs only gives us 1/2 hr at the ruins which is definitely not worth it. Could anyone who has been recently give an update if it is currently open & how bad the construction delays are? Thanks so much for the input!

We are also going on a NCL in a few weeks, and sounds like this destination might not be worth it. Or else choose to go from the ship excursion list to avoid missing the departure deadline due to traffic issues.
is it possible to see and photograph the mask without climbing and are there places to sit and just enjoy the views
