Great beach located not too far from airport. Plenty of space, not crowded, ton of fish and few turtles. The road to the beach is rocky, I recommend a high clearance vehicle.Full review by WanderingTurk

We will have a day cruise stop at Kona in Sept after 5 days at sea from Vancouver. Will we be able to get a taxi from Kona jetty direct to the beach, one member of group could not manage the long walk described in some reviews. Other suggestions for a beach day welcomed.

No a taxi would not go here. My suggestion would be to visit Hapuna Beach Park. It is further away from Kona but a great beach day and doesn't require a walk.
