Lovely winter gardens full of snowdrops. Would like to return later in the year. Nice cafe with plenty of choice. Wrap up warm as it was very cold in February on the Wirral .Full review by Derbyshireresident

There is a wheelchair route which is marked on the map that you can ask for on entry. You won’t be able to go everywhere as some of the gardens are steep. The car park the visitor centre and the cafe are all very accessable .A picnic is a nice idea .There are plenty of benches to sit on for the accompanying companion Reduced entry rates apply for disabled people. Good idea to take an unbrella to shelte from the suns rays if this present heatwave continues. I have noticed the manager at Ness gardens is very responsive to trip advisor comments about the gardens ,therefoe if you have any queries contact them ahead of your visit. The gardens remain ipen after the visitor centre closes you exit via a side gate.I do not know if the toilet facilities are accessable at this time .They may be locked so check . I am not disabled myself ,so I am not speaking from personal experience just observation .Check that there is somewhere to charge up the wheelchair if necessary. I hope tou get there .

I recently answered the question "...are there any outside covered picnic areas ?". I have recently visited the gardens and can report with confidence there are two albeit relatively small covered with open sides. One is a delightful thatched domed bench style seating area. No tables but situated in an area overlooking terraced gardens.
