Hi. I am a female traveller planning a solo trip to Cerritos. The plan is to rent a car for a week, or so from the airport and drive. Any safety issues, particularly with driving? Is it fairly deserted? First time to the area, so am unfamiliar. Any info would be appreciated.

Drive during the day fill up when you see a station. Download the map in google maps so it can work offline. AMC ventura was a good rental car company. Have fun! Great town.

There is plenty of close free parking on the dirt road to the beach just next to Barracuda Cantina, which has a bathroom for its patrons...had a good meal there!
