To be honest, the ski resort isn’t actually in Rome… however it is a mere 2 hours 30 mins drive from Rome and only 2 hours from Naples! I learned to ski here as a young man in my twenties, and twenty…Full review by ATWin80Stays

Hi guys, I am planning a trip for mid December this year and I was wondering if anyone's had a similar experience of going over the same period and can advise what the snowfall is like for that period? I know the season starts early November but will we be okay/guaranteed skiing for a week starting 12th December? I am hoping the answer is yes, 100 %! Thanks in advance

Hi We went for the mid term break 9th - 16 th Feb. 2018, and had buckets of snow but this year was one of those years where there was snow everywhere anyway. I suppose, like many places in Europe , you are never guaranteed snow. However, we did meet a lady from Rome who told us that they get snow in Rocarasso even when there's no snow in Northern Italy! It's a fabulous place and we will be going back for sure. Rita

Hi, I'm travelling with a group of 8 on Friday and can't decide on whether to take the bus (26 euros each return) or rent a minibus. On the face of it, the bus would be a better option but I gather the shuttle bus from hotel to ski station isn't great and can be expensive. Please help !

Sorry cannot give a definitive answer as we drove to area and stayed in a ski in ski out hotel. Your accommodation ought to have a free ski bus for transfers to slopes so would think …

Sorry cannot give a definitive answer as we drove to area and stayed in a ski in ski out hotel. Your accommodation ought to have a free ski bus for transfers to slopes so would think expense of hiring a minibus not worth it. That said it would give you more freedom! If you do hire a bus make sure you have snow chains as they are a needed. Sorry again for not being a great help but hope you have a great time.
