Golden Drop Winery is a family owned and operated business. The property was originally a viable tobacco farm in the 1970’s, but with the looming demise of the tobacco industry the farm was diversified from tobacco and 3,600 mango trees were planted in 1975. Over the past 25 years the plantation has grown to have in excess of 17,500 trees, making it now one of the largest mango plantation in Australia. In 1992 the farm became a winery and after successfully mastering the technique of making wine from mangoes, Golden Drop Winery successfully launched their first commercial wines – a Dry, a Medium, and a Sweet wine and became a tourist attraction in it's own right in 1999.
