Hezbollah announced Sunday that a funeral for Hassan Nasrallah and his successor Hashem Safieddine, who were killed by Israel more than four months ago, will take place later this month.

The Lebanese Hezbollah group has announced that the funeral of its longtime leader will take place on Feb. 23.

The head of Lebanon's armed group Hezbollah said on Sunday that his predecessor, Hassan Nasrallah, would be laid to rest on Feb. 23, nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli air attack on Beirut's southern suburbs.

In a televised speech via Al-Manar TV, Sheikh Qassem announced that the official funeral for the greatest martyr, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He explained that Sayyed Nasrallah was martyred during critical circumstances, which prevented an immediate funeral.

Hezbollah announced that its leader Hassan Nasrallah will be laid to rest on February 23. Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in September and was initially buried discretely due to security concerns.
