By Palestine Chronicle Staff Hamas says it accepted a US-mediated ceasefire proposal in principle but accuses Israel of removing all key guarantees, including a full withdrawal and uninterrupted humanitarian aid.
A senior Hamas official criticized the United States for treating Israel's demands as the "only response for negotiation," calling it a violation of "the integrity and fairness of mediation" in ceasefire talks.
Hamas has said it had agreed with Witkoff on a “general framework” of an agreement that would lead to a lasting ceasefire, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, an influx of aid, and a transfer of power from the militant group to a politically independent committee of Palestinians.
