Southwest Airlines announced on Feb. 6 that there will be nonstop flights from Milwaukee to San Diego beginning Oct. 2. The airline said these flights will be available every day of the week except Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

On Tuesday, the airport announced that the Dallas-based airline plans to expand its service between Milwaukee and San Diego this fall. Specifically, service between the airports will be offered five days a week, Thursday through Monday. Previously, Southwest offered this route seasonally only on Saturdays.

With these new San Diego flights, Southwest now offers 17 nonstop flight destinations from Milwaukee.
