Gently lift the cap away from the keyboard and set it aside to see how the key retainer is situated. Orient the replacement key retainer so that it matches the retainer in Step 1.
Lower the key into the space left on the keyboard and push it down onto the rubber nub. You should hear a click when the key is firmly in place over the nub. Replace the key you removed in Step 2.
