Deer fern (Blechnum spicant) does not have the stature of the above ferns, growing up to two feet only. Yet it more than makes up for its lack of size with unusual charm.

As for the smaller deer fern, a prized specimen at my place, this is a spider-like fern that has both flat stretched fronds at the perimeter and very straight clumped center set of fronds.
