President Trump delayed aggressive tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, but people close to him warn that more duties are coming—and won’t so easily be averted.

Shares in European and Asian steelmakers fell on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would introduce 25% tariffs on all steel and aluminium imports within hours in addition to existing metals duties.

The top three suppliers of steel to the US are Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. China is the 10th largest supplier of steel to the country.
