TDOE adopted a new formula where they take a student’s TCAP score and a computer algorithm to come up with a probability of passing the following year’s TCAP (in fourth grade).

The new formula, which was to be adopted on Friday, would have left Arizona with significantly fewer A-rated schools than the last time the grades were issued in 2014.
