In 2012, Jerry Lageson flipped the switch and transformed an oak tree into a landmark for thousands of passersby. South of Faribault, Minn., Lageson annually adorns this tree with 50,000 white lights.
The movies are based on the adventures chronicled in the 54-volume “Magic Tree House” collection. Author Mary Pope Osborne will executive produce along with her husband Will Osborne.
Her goal now is to share the wealth, by encouraging other people to create their own “magic trees.” “You can do this with any tree. It doesn’t take a lot of work or time,” she said recently.
