Macros can be timesavers for Microsoft 365 users. For instance, you can create a macro and add a formatted table to an Excel sheet or your business letterhead in a Word document in no time.
Save your file to the directory C:\Users\ \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART. Close all open workbooks in Excel and close Excel. Launch Excel again to test that your macro is run automatically.
Once you know what macros you'd like to set up and have the Developer tab ready, here's what to do in Excel on Windows or macOS: Click the Developer tab and find the Code group.
When you do this, Excel will remember your settings and Excel will auto open macros for that specific file in the future by default. Basically, it considers the file a trusted document.
