China has reiterated its threat to take “necessary countermeasures" following Trump’s decision to impose 10% tariffs on China.

U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered sweeping tariffs on goods from Mexico, Canada and China, demanding that they curb the flow of illegal immigrants and fentanyl into the United States, kicking off a trade war that could dent global growth and stoke inflation.

Amid warnings of price increases, Canada moved quickly to retaliate, China said it had planned countermeasures and Mexico said it would soon unveil its response.
