The New York Jets landed themselves a new quarterback, inking Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million deal. Following the Aaron Rodgers experiment from hell, the Jets are taking a flier on the former No. 11 overall pick.

The New York Jets made the decision to move on from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers earlier this offseason. Following that move, it was clear that the Jets would look to add a new starting quarterback in either free agency or the 2025 NFL draft.

March 9: Jamien Sherwood was a backup going into the 2024 season for the Jets. A year later, and with a team MVP award under his belt, he just became one of the five highest-paid linebackers in the NFL after agreeing to re-sign with the Jets for $45 million ($30 million of it guaranteed) on a three-year deal.
