Sep 22, 2017 · Instant Ocean is a perfectly fine salt. To help stretch time between water changes, look into adding macroalgae to the tank. They uptake nutrients and can help in that regard. You can get away with a 50w heater in a 10 gallon unless you have the 75 on hand already, then may as well use it! Everything @Clown79 said is good advice!

I wouldn't have an problem keeping him in my 10 gallon tank by himself, but my 10 gallon tank is 24" long. My clown is only a little bigger than my full grown yellow clown goby.

Apr 6, 2021 · IMO, a ten gallon tank is too small for a Banggai cardinalfish. Even though they are typically a slow moving fish, they can effortlessly dart across my 100 gallon tank. I keep one in a 40 gallon and don't feel bad about it. Live Aquaria states a minimum tank size of 30 gallons. I feel that a 20 gallon tank is probably pushing it.

May 17, 2016 · A good rule of thumb is to add 1" to 1.5" of sand per gallon of tank space. You want the sand to be deep enough to cover the bottom (obviously) but you don't want too much or the sand is impossible to keep clean.
