We are a group of 4-H extension professionals that have a passion for 4-H Shooting Sports. The committee is made up of up to four 4-H Program Leaders who act as Co-Chairs of the committee. We also have two representatives from each of the four National Extension Regions and two 1890 Institution representatives.

4-H members have opportunities to test their shooting, hunting, and sportsmanship skills in county, regional, state, and national competitions. In fact, they could ultimately set Olympic competition as their goal.

Jun 4, 2023 · 4-H shooting sports training and certification in one of several disciplines including: archery, muzzleloading, coordinator, hunting, pistol, rifle, shotgun, and Western Heritage. The National 4-H Shooting Sports Curriculum for each discipline is utilized throughout these trainings and in the conduct of local 4-H programs with youth.

The 2025 4-H Shooting Sports National Quiz Bowl registration portal is now open. Quizzes this year are comprised of 50 questions for Intermediate & Seniors, and 25 questions for Juniors. Questions are a mix of General 4-H, STEM, Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Archery, Hunting Skills and Western Heritage.

The 4-H Shooting Sports National Championships are currently being held in Grand Island Nebraska. The dates have been set and locked in through 2026 to be held in Grand Island. Jun 23-28, 2024
