The Buddha Statue of Hyderabad is a monolith located in India. It is the world's tallest monolith of Gautama Buddha, erected on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of Hussain Sagar.

With a height of 72 feet (22 meters) and a whopping weight of more than 450 tons, Buddha Statue has the fame of being the largest single stone statue of Buddha not just in India but also in entire world. It is placed on the Rock of Gibraltar in the Hussain Sagar lake.

Carved out of single slab of granite this 58 feet statue is the biggest monolithic statue of Buddha in the country. Take a mechanized boat ( tickets cost only Rs.50) from Lumbini park to alight at the Gibraltar rock on which the statue stands. There is a nice walkaway around the statue.
