Chuck Sheley was born in Chico and graduated from Chico High School and Chico State College. During a long 38-year teaching career here in Chico and while coaching the Chico Junior High and Chico High track teams, Chuck set out to determine the all-time best times, heights, and distances from Chico High’s track teams.
