Jul 26, 2019 · Hmmmm. My "go to" favorite glue is plain old Elmer's Glue-All (not Elmer's School Glue). It is fairly easy to remove with water or alcohol and makes a very strong bond with wood. Of course, it should not be used if you plan on putting your model in the water!

Jul 3, 2020 · Painted both sides of a sail with the glue and left it on a curved surface with waxed paper between the sail and the curved surface to dry over night. The next day I removed it from the form and peeled the waxed paper off and had a nice curved sail (lower Main) to work with.

Nov 27, 2024 · My previous post asked about what glue to use to glue planks to the deck. The consensus seemed to be Elmer's glue. This is what I thought would be the right choice. I have four decks on my paddle wheeler. I decided to plank all of the decks first then place them when the time came to do so. The first and fourth decks stayed flat.

Aug 27, 2018 · Wife can not tolerate smell of CA. So I found Bob Smith Industries(BSI) has two CA that are thick and odorless.. tho expensive, a little goes a long way. 2 ounce lasted over a year. Apply to small parts with the end of a pin's edge. For metal to metal or metal to wood, use J-B Weld. Works great.
