You're still conscious for a few minutes while your heart stops, so Enel did it of his own free will. My headcanon is that he wasn't dead yet, but the reject dial blast stopped his heart. He used the electricity from his fruit to force start his heart again.

Aug 25, 2020 · Doesn't that just mean Enel was an incompetent fighter himself and was entirely reliant on his df? Any decent fighter (around cp9 level and above) would destroy pre gear Luffy in a physical brawl with or without their df's power. The only creditable feat I've seen from him is his massive range CoO.
