Aug 2, 2013 · Entyvio is known for working in the large intestine -not the small intestine . Stelara is known for the small intestine. When you say failed .. how long were you on skyrizi and at what dose ? My kiddo takes Stelara But in order for it to work he takes 90 mg every 4 weeks . Every 8 weeks did nothing . Also have you gotten a second opinion ?

Sep 19, 2023 · Entyvio is specific for a protein that is found primarily in the large bowel, so it's targeted in the right area for your son. Both drugs are approved for Crohn's regardless of location, but "word on the street" is that Stelara works better for small bowel Crohn's (like mine), and Entyvio works better for large bowel Crohn's.

Feb 12, 2025 · Entyvio is slow acting and can take up to 12 months to work fully for some folks. It works better in the large intestine than the small intestine. Are you on bridge therapy ?
Change from Entyvio to Stelara or Skyrizi??
Oct 15, 2015 · Ian is now 15. He's on 80mg Humira weekly and Entyvio infusions once monthly. He just had scopes on 12/23 and he still has an area of active inflammation at the cecum that his dr is concerned about. He's having an MRE tomorrow, so we'll see what that says, but she is leaning towards switching the Entyvio to Stelara or Skyrizi. Thoughts?

May 28, 2014 · If they are replacing the Entyvio with something that takes a long time to start working then the doc may wish to keep the Entyvio going for a while in order to avoid inducing a flare due to having nothing keeping your disease down while the new drug gets going. But as the unhelpful Takeda person said, that is up to the doctor's discretion.
