I did participate at one point (around the time people on uF were warned to "STOP LOOKING INTO THE SISTERHOOD" but would be nice to have a decent timeline of events.

Depending on what kind of ARG you're doing, ARGs can incur certain risks, including some less than desirable IRL consequences, lest they be legal, personal, etc. I was so intrigued by the 'North Korean phone number' incident in Junko Junsui, that I was curious as to what other ARGs have had to deal with consequences relating to the real world.

Jul 29, 2017 · I cannot remind on Imamate, but Junko Junsui involved hacking of North Korea Embassy page by players and then calls and visits real FBI of their homes with explicite order to stop such activities. Actually, it was an art project where the game master kinda lost (intentionally or not) control over his story.
