Dec 29, 2009 · The Lamy persona was designed by Mario Bellini, and as far as I can tell it was produced from 1990 to 2005. At least, distribution to the shops stopped in 2005, actual production may have stopped a little earlier. There were 4 versions of the Persona: Model 20 in titanium with gold trim and nib. More of a matte titanium finish

Apr 28, 2008 · The persona is a cartridge/converter filler, and uses Lamy's Z25 piston converter (which was included with the pen, as was a box of standard Lamy blue cartridges). The converter works well, and I can get it completely full with only a couple of cycles of the piston.

Jan 30, 2010 · The Persona is indeed a very nice pen with unusual design. I got one some months ago from ebay for 36 Euros and am very content after Lamy had the defective nib changed for only 30 Euros.

Nov 6, 2009 · The Persona was Lamy's attempt to gain a foot hold in the higher end again, for fountain pens. They've been pseudo successful with the Dialog series (ballpoint pen).

Jan 13, 2019 · Lamy's own site say "The various models designed for Lamy by Mario Bellini are refined using high-end PVD coating and galvanisation.", so I would suspect steel underneath. It is a heavy pen, but very nicely balanced. I really like mine.
