May 8, 2014 · Seems there are two Olden's in Norway. Olden (Stryn) is where our ship stopped. There was a glacier about 30-35 kms away. If this is the Olden there was a small tourist office near where the ship dock and it rented out bikes. They were of so-so quality and condition but we were able to rent them for the day and bike to the glacier and back.

Feb 9, 2015 · We spent two days in Flam on a land-based Norway trip and stayed in the hotel at the head of the bay. I recall a trail around a point of land, but nothing in the way of spectacular vistas while on foot. We did not walk in Olden. Norway's tourism bureaus may have information on local guides who could escort you on a private walking or hiking tour.

Oct 13, 2009 · We are thinking of going on a cruise to Norway on the Crown Princess. We need to know whether or not it is possible to walk from the port where the ship docks in Olden to the town of Olden and then walk back to the ship. How long of a walk would it be? thanks for responding.

May 24, 2021 · Both Geiranger and Olden are good destinations albeit different attractions. Both have beautiful viewpoints - Olden has Loen Skylift and Briksdal glaciers while Geiranger has ‘The Seven Sisters’ waterfalls and and several fine viewpoints.
