Both roku sticks freeze after the first buffer reload watching newsmax, the firestick has no problems. Not a conspiracy, but certainly a technical problem somewhere. Hard to say where the the issue originates. Common factors are xfinity and roku. This is a real problem. I have 2 spare sticks, one a firestick, one a roku stick.

Oct 28, 2024 · Yeah, don't know what changed. Starting getting the same message - have to be on the xfinity home network. Um, I am and have been. It xfinity app on Roku was working fine until this past Monday (Jan 20). Absolutely no problems. Had to use it since TV is a Sony and there is no app on their platform for xfinity and not using the box.

Tried switching from wired to wireless, same issue . uninstalled the Xfinity app reinstalled, logged; in same issue . Connected an external Roku to HDMI same issue . Xfinity streams fine on my IPhone 14 and even an older and smaller Roku TV in another part of the house.

It only happens on CNN and it happens across my 5 different Roku devices including Roku Ultra and Roku Stick. I have deleted the apps on all devices and restarted the device and reinstalled the Xfinity App. It is still happening. This started about 2-3 weeks ago. Never had this issue for the past 4 plus years I have been using Roku.
