The de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter is a Canadian STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) utility aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada in the mid-1960s and still in production today. Built by De Havilland Canada from 1965 to 1988, Viking Air purchased the type certificate and restarted production in 2008, before re-adopting the DHC name in 2022.

Offered as a versatile airframe that can be customized for unique configuration requirements, the Guardian 400’s low acquisition cost and flexible architecture allows oper-ators to mix and match sensors and interior layouts to meet their specific mission profiles.

The Viking DHC-6 Series 400 Twin Otter aircraft is an all-metal, high wing monoplane, powered by two wing-mounted turboprop engines, each driving a three-bladed, reversible pitch, fully feathering propeller. The aircraft carries a pilot, co-pilot, and up to 19 passengers, depending upon the seating configuration.
