May 9, 2020 · ^Became standard on GTL; part of GT safety package. *Standard by 2020 GTL, but still part of GT “Select" Package. I have only seen one GT without the Select Package. The GT Select Package includes Central Locking System, Aux Lighting, Radio, Alarm, Bluetooth, GPS prep. If it has a radio, it has the select package.

Mar 18, 2018 · I own a 2014 GT and a new B. Surprisingly, the B handles the corners much better than the GT with much less counter steer. Overall the B is smoother and feels more refined. On the other hand, the B has a dead spot when just letting out the clutch from a standstill that takes some getting used.

Sep 13, 2022 · The truth is the GT, on curvy roads, is much faster/quicker than the B/GA. I can understand why many think the different K bikes are similar and some believe there's not much difference between them. I'm not one of those. The handling performance of the GT truly sets it apart from the B/GA and the GTL. Duane

May 5, 2014 · The "standard" GT & GTL has always had four different seat combinations (2 one-piece and 2 two-piece). All of these seats will fit either the GT or GTL, with a separate adapter kit needed to fit a GT seat to a GTL, and vice-versa. BMW K 1600 GT 31.89/32.68" (810/830mm) Standard (high two-piece seat)

May 3, 2016 · Originally the BMW oil was made by Castrol. I would just buy Castrol and skip the dealer. Now the BMW oil is made by Shell. I did the service on my old GT but when I got my new GT I had the dealer do the 600 mile service and they used the Shell oil. At the 6k mark I put Castrol in it and now the bike doesn't shift as well.
