Tree saddle recommendations. - GON Forum
Nov 26, 2022 · I’m looking for a tree saddle for my son. He’s a tall skinny young man that wants to retire his climbers and transition to a tree saddle. I do not know anything about brands/manufacturers or prices. I definitely want something that is safe but I also don’t want to have to rob a bank to be able to afford one.
Tree Seat - GON Forum
Oct 28, 2019 · Millennium tree seat if I was an older gentleman, I would also get the thermal pad for cold days. They're expensive for what they are but worth it. I use a hammock seat also but they are a little more challenging to get in and out of. I can sit for hours on end with the millennium but the hammock seat always needs adjusting within an hr or so.
Tree Stand Concealment - GON Forum
Sep 21, 2010 · I wrapped a 16' ladder stand top to bottom with green Christmas garland in 2003. I hung it on a big oak with the ladder literally in the limbs of a cedar tree beside the oak. I shot a nice 8-pt in velvet almost straight down the first time I ever hunted it. If I hadn't shot him, I think he would have walked right between the ladder and the oak.

how do you guys secure your rifle with a pull up rope?
Oct 31, 2008 · Never pull a gun up with a round in the chamber and never tie the rope through the trigger guard. If the barrel hits the ground for some reason, make SURE you visually check the barrel for obstructions before you fire it. I also have my rope marked at 20 ft, 25 ft, 30 ft, and 35 ft so I can tell how high I am in the tree.
