Atop his mighty steed, clad in armor darker than the void, the elder primal Odin has returned to Eorzea to exact his brutal judgment upon the realm. Steel Reign is a level 50 FATE spawned in The Black Shroud. The weather will be Tension in all Black Shroud zones while the FATE is up.

Odin is a primal featured in Final Fantasy XIV. Odin can be faced during both FATE Steel Reign and trial Urth's Fount. While Steel Reign has been in the game since release, Urth's Fount was not released until Patch 2.5 outside the FanFest.

This guide is for the Level 50 FATE Steel Reign, through which adventurers can challenge the elder primal Odin. Despite the event level, that of Odin himself varies. If Odin is defeated, he will be one level higher the next time he spawns; if the FATE is failed, he will be one level lower.

Odin, a primal of unknown origin, can be encountered in Urth’s Fount, a trial accessible at level 50. Although it is classified as a Normal or Hard trial, Urth’s Fount is actually more akin to an Extreme trial in terms of difficulty.
