Mar 28, 2012 · Took a dremel to the inside of the rear takedown lug (on the upper) and the takedown pin closes fine now. This could have been from the upper or the lower, I'm not sure (leaning toward the upper). I will say that the trigger that comes with the PSA lower parts kit has quite a bit of grit to it. I'm hoping this will smooth out as I shoot more.

Aug 24, 2016 · If I had to pay $100 for a stripped lower, I'd buy one of PSA's complete MOE lowers for $170-$190, free shipping, plus transfer fee. Complete lowers with PSA stocks have been cheaper, but not in stock right now. Would be hard to save money building your own, unless your dealer charges an outrageous transfer fee.

Oct 23, 2015 · That is a good deal on that SL PSA lower. That stock runs you $45-$50 alone. I recieved one of the Spikes shield lowers last week. I assembled it with the same parts I have used on most of my Aero lowers. The tolerances on the Spikes lower seemed a little looser (bigger gaps and pins went in easier).

Mar 18, 2013 · My BCM upper sits on a S&W lower. I don't really see an issue with this. My next upper BCM or PSA will sit on a Del-ton lower I have ready to go. If it makes any difference the current BCM upper has Spikes Tactical BCG. Times are tough, it's the only BCG I could find at the time, i liked the $125 price too.

Mar 30, 2017 · After owning a few PSA and Aero upper/lower sets and barrels I would go with Aero/BA. The Hanson series barrels are the tits. Nothing against PSA but they feel like a budget line to me. I have read about the Aero QC issues but have not seen it first hand. This includes a few uppers I just bought.

Dec 24, 2019 · Meh, an in spec forged lower is an in spec forged lower. Unless you have some data to show that Noveske lower is going to last longer than a PSA lower, that’s pretty much how it is. Now, if you want additional features (ambi, integrated QD, etc), then obviously a more expensive lower is the choice.
