Lice in pigs? Your remedy? - Homesteading Forum
Apr 17, 2009 · The pig louse is quite large and you should have no problem seeing them if the pigs are infested. Baby feral pig - what to do?? - Homesteading Forum
Jan 6, 2008 · My feral pig came to me at just about this age. I had good luck with just giving him a commercial pig food mash. I made it a chunky milk shake consistancy and put it on my fingers, slid the finger in his mouth and it was on!! He has been a spoiled brat ever since. Don't expect it to run quite as smooth as it sounds as written.
Need help now!!! Pig down & won't get up!!! - Homesteading Forum
Oct 1, 2011 · guess it's just one less mouth to feed and she did eat a lot. But I did love that pig.....could go out anytime to 'talk' to her; night or day and she enjoyed the back scratches and side rubs that I used to give her. Wish that we'd had a chance to breed her.....she would have made a great mother.. Going to miss the ole girl.....

Feb 4, 2014 · get you a pair of stainless real heavy duty side cutter nail clippers. when the pigs are a day or 2 old stick your finger in their mouth and break there tushes. another trick we did for every pig born was a soap top squirter screwed on a bottle of Pepto-Bismol and give them 2 squirts when you break the tushes. it will help them not get the scours.

May 7, 2013 · Kill, bleed, hang up, scorch, brush, scorch, brush, hose, repeat until clean, cut off feet, gut, wash it down. A good stiff scrub brush comes in handy. Clean out the ears, nose, mouth, etc. You're using too much heat if the skin begins to blister. Try to kill the pig in a dry spot and when the pig is as clean as possible.

Oct 20, 2005 · I tried to search this but didn't have any luck. I am worming my chickens and pigs orally with ivomec injectible 1% and was wondering if I could worm my nine month old holstein calf orally instead of giving him a shot. I was thinking of putting the …
