Why doesn’t God just take away your struggles? Because struggle shapes us. Christ could remove temptation in an instant but often He allows it so we can grow in virtue, discipline, and dependence on Him. Battling lust, or any sin, becomes the training ground where men learn prayer, humility, and perseverance. As St. Ambrose said, “The devil taught me how to pray.
