Today with Kelsey, we worked on refining her curveball — one of her best pitches to complement her rise and drop. We mixed in a variety of training balls: Light ball → forces clean, efficient spin (you can’t muscle it) Heavy ball → builds forearm finger strength for tighter spin Regular ball → applies everything we just trained Mixing weights is one of my favorite ways to clean up spin direction, remove unnecessary movement, and help pitchers feel exactly where the spin comes from.
