Heating bill assistance funding ‘uncertain’ for thousands of Iowa families as shutdown continues

Project NOW’s energy assistance program, known as LIHEAP, is off to a great start. To date we have received 6500 calls and appointments are booked out through November 18th. Our President/CEO, Dwight Ford says so far 313 applications have been approved with $82,000 in benefits going out the door.
